United Way Volunteer Centers

The Volunteer Center is the only agency in the Lowcountry that serves as a volunteer clearinghouse--matching people with the agencies that need their help. More than 100 area non-profit organizations throughout Beaufort County request our volunteers.

When Can I Volunteer? You can devote as much or as little time to your volunteer career as you like: an hour a month to eight hours a day. Every minute helps those in need.

Why Should I Volunteer?  Whether you've lived in this area for years, just a few weeks, or are a resident only part of the year, volunteering can expand your involvement, your skills and your circle of friends. But, the most satisfying aspect of volunteering is the good feeling you get when you give back to your community. Please read more about Volunteer Opportunities for you and the needs they fill for the nonprofit agencies in our community.

How do I Volunteer? When you're ready to volunteer, call your area Volunteer Center (see phone numbers below) or use the Online Volunteer Application Form. We can help you decide how best to apply your talents and time to a volunteer position.

Thank you for helping to change lives in your community!
